Because a bar just isn’t complete without a bar stool. It’s like the classic PB&J. It doesn’t happen without the J. We can’t live in a world without complete and happy endings – it just isn’t right. Basically that’s why bar stools were invented. Okay, we can’t confirm that, but it’s the story we’re going with and we’re sticking to it.
Bar stools offer a lot to the look of a well designed kitchen and they actually serve a purpose. They give you place to plant your butt while you use that bar you had to have built into your kitchen island.
Another great advantage of the good ol’ bar stool is its ability to easily change the style or look of the kitchen. No remodeling or expensive projects involved, simply pick out your new stools and take out the old ones. Done and done.
Get inspired to bring new ideas into your kitchen with these lovely pictures featuring some beautifully designed and decorated kitchens complete with bar stools as well as plenty of envious design details.

A little bamboo goes a long way in a coastal home. It’s always fitting and, let’s face it, it just works. Bamboo brings great texture to the space as well as color, whether it be the natural, neutral color of bamboo or a fun, bold color that pops. The versatility is great!
Today we’re sharing 3 Easy Ways To Decorate Your Living Room With Bamboo! As much as we’d like to suggest putting that bamboo floor in, that’s a spend venture. Try these 3 tips instead!
1. Bamboo Chairs
Chairs are probably the easiest easy way to bring bamboo into the home. It’s as simple as picking them up and setting them down. Done. They also offer a ton of variety. There are so many styles, shapes and colors to choose from you can’t go wrong! They’re also extremely easy to remove when it’s time to mix things up and try new pieces.
2. Bamboo Coffee/Side Tables
Coffee tables and side tables can be used in multiple ways throughout the home. The coffee table can be the focus and building point for the entire living room and set the tone or feel of the space. It can also be an accent piece that plays the simple role of, you guessed it, the coffee table. The side table(s) can add a little touch of bamboo that perfectly compliments the space with it’s color or texture. There’s a lot you can with your bamboo table options!
3. Bamboo Shades.
Bamboo shades can be the piece that ties the space together. It extends the decor to the windows/walls and accents your coastal home decor perfectly. Not only will they help with those bright days, it shows that you’ve got an eye for details and no space in the room is left untouched. Plus, they totally belong in any beach house and drive that coastal style home (pun intended).

A wooden ladder is a great design piece and an easy way to add rustic decor to your home. They’re extremely versatile and bring a great deal of eye pleasing interest to any space. How does a wooden ladder do this? By taking advantage of the vertical space.
They fill the room and give your eye something to follow through the space. This is as easy as leaning the wooden ladder up against the wall. Now if you want to take it a step further, you can add another layer of decor to continue building dynamic design. Decorate the ladder with throws or even hang art from them, the options can be as creative as you are (or, realistically, what you find on Pinterest). If you’re handy enough you can even convert a wooden ladder into a makeshift shelf. Just be careful what you choose to display, we can’t imagine those will be the sturdiest of shelves!
Take a look at what these designers have done and how they have decorated these spaces with wooden ladders. Plus let’s not forget, they’re a great excuse to go antique hunting. Oops, did we just plant that seed into your mind? Happy hunting!
Winter introduces weather that is not only cold, but usually unforgiving. Typically ending in some kind of wet puddle, the last thing anyone wants is the outside weather inside their home. That means no exposed floors, tiled or not. Thankfully, there is a way to prevent such events from happening. Let us be the first, to say thank you to the rug.
Rugs become our best friends during the wet seasons. They give us a chance to stay ahead of the mess and possibly keep it contained. Right when you open the front door a rug is waiting for you to slip off those soaking wet shoes and leave the mess behind you. Needless to say, we aren’t buying those indoor/outdoor rugs just for their cute patterns. We are gladly cashing in on the practical purpose they serve as well.
There’s no secret tips, revelations or DIY winter hacks in this post. This post is strictly acknowledging the often walked all over accessory that saves our floors. Thank you, rugs. Don’t ever change.
