Coastal kitchen with boho chic style and open shelvesWe’ve been seeing a lot open shelf and open storage kitchens lately that we love! It’s another fun way to bring style and character to your coastal kitchen. It’s a pretty simple idea; stop hiding everything and show it off!

Let people see all of your plates, cups, spices, utensils, cooking supplies, pots, pans and small appliances. We love it because it opens the kitchen right up. It gets rid of the closed off look and invites everyone right in. When people display their spices and baking essentials in mason jars or other glass jars it gives the kitchen a cute, homey look. Plus when they’re out, they’re begging to be used and make you want to cook and bake!

With everything out for your family and guests to see there will be no more wondering where the mugs or a spatchula are. Also when you have no where to hide your dishes it will finally give you a good reason to go get that cute set you’ve been eyeing for awhile now! Stop hiding and open up your kitchen! :: 3 Ways To Give Your Coastal Bathroom An Update ::

Tuesday Tips

Coastal bathrooom with a great diftwood mirrorMake your bathroom your happy place. There’s no reason to be unhappy in or with your bathroom. Seriously, it’s the place where so many good things can and will happen. Mainly we’re talking bath tub love, but that’s a given. It’s easy to forget about the rest of the bathroom and only focus on the tub. Don’t worry, we’ve got your back! We’ve got 3 easy ways to update your bathroom that won’t break the bank or require your to hire a contractor or an interior designer. Read on!

1. Open it up.

Don’t hide anything everything in the bathroom by using traditional cabinets and storage in the bathroom. Leave everything out in the open! It makes it easier for you to grab things when you need them and it helps fight the mess. Stop hiding the mess and take action to prevent it!

2. Don’t forget the towels.

Towels are an easy way to decorate the bathroom and give it a quick punch of style. They can introduce colors and patterns without much work or effort. It’s a great way to try experimental colors or patterns as well. Not everyone is going to be in your bathroom, plus it’s pretty easy and inexpensive.

3. Cover the floor.

Rugs are essential! They give us something soft and warm to plant our toes on while providing another decor element. Use the rug to bring some texture into the space and mix up the feel in the bathroom.
