This table gets used for the big family gatherings and during the holidays, but usually it sits unused for most of the year. No longer with it be ignored!
We’re talking gourds! We’re talking pumpkins! We’re talking fall home decor! Designing a fall tablescape brings fall decor and mindset into full swing.

It’s always nice to come home after a long day and have a quick, easy place to set your stuff down. Let these tips help make your life and entryway better!
Get yourself a coat rack, this way you can toss your coat or scarf up onto it and to free yourself up a little bit. Put a side table or small bench in the entryway so you can set your purse, keys or what’s ever is in your hands down. The bench, or maybe a chair, will give you a place to take your shoes off or even unload any extras your lugging in. More importantly, you have a place for the kids to take off and store their shoes or other various things. This will hopefully cut back on the dirt and mess throughout the house that the kids somehow always manage to bring in.
Invest in a doormat or a tough indoor/outdoor rug in the entry. This will help with preventing messes which will save you in the long run. Another way to prevent clutter and mess is with an umbrella rack. During the wet season you won’t be tracking mud or water throughout your home. Plus you’ll have a place for your umbrella and you won’t have to go searching for it every time you’re running out the door.
Let your entryway help you! Putting a little time into your entry will leave you thanking yourself over and over. It will help organize your home and make your life easier. There’s no need for clutter by the front door, but most importantly there’s no need for that extra stress.
Don’t let the sun stop shining this summer! The sun may set, but that doesn’t mean you can’t keep it bright with a little gold decor!
Gold is a fun color to work into your decor. It can be used in a couple different ways. You can make a statement with it and go bold with your gold. Use the color’s bright hue to really give the room some pop and a little touch of glam. Make it fabulous!
If you’re not looking for bold, you can use your gold pieces as little accents. Use the color to compliment the other hues in the space and just drop little hints of gold throughout the space.
Check out how these designers use gold in these spaces and then start your treasure hunt to add gold to your home!

We love decorating and designing the perfect home to enjoy. Often we aren’t the only ones in the house. We have our best friends living right along side us! We know dogs aren’t the pickiest, but when they choose that one cozy spot to lay down then you’ve got the doggy approval.
We all spend so much time, effort and hard work on our homes that it’s nice to see all appreciating it and enjoying it. Don’t forget about those indoor/outdoor rugs! They may come in handy when the dirty dogs trots in. Just take the rug out and wash them both down!
Show some love to your beloved dogs and these ones! Check them out enjoying the coastal home decor!
What is flow? Flow is the ease of movement through a space. It means we aren’t tripping over ottomans, weaving betweens chairs or scooting around coffee tables when we try to move through a living room.
There is no reason your living room should not flow.
If it does not flow it typically means one of two things. First, there’s just too much stuff. Get rid of what is unnecessary. Store it, sell it or donate it. Second, you didn’t plan. You should always know your measurements. Know the measurements of the space, the furniture you’re trying to put in the space and the negative space.
Negative space is the area you actually live in. It’s the space between the coffee table and sofa where your legs go. It’s the space that you use to float that pouf between your chairs and sofa. When you plan the space for actual room to function and live in you will find the flow throughout the space.
A mirror is a great piece to add to your entryway or a vignette. They can help bring light to the space and add a different look than the usual wall art. To take it up a design notch, try incorporating a round mirror. They offer a unique look and style that the typical mirror cannot.
People often ask, what are the rules to hanging mirrors or artwork? What are the measurements? Let us sum it up quickly and easily for you guys:
1. The mirror or artwork should be two-thirds (2/3) or three-fourths (3/4) as wide as the side console. Get out those rulers and start measuring!
2. If you are hanging a mirror or artwork above a side console or furniture you typically hang it 3-8 inches above the furniture. This is a general height that can be adjusted to your liking and will depend on how large or small the piece you are hanging is.
3. If you are hanging a mirror or piece of artwork on a wall on its own, depending on the size of the piece being hung, you typically hang it 55-65 inches above the floor. The general measurement depends on how high the wall is and what is to be hung.
These measurements are of course general guidelines that will get you started on your designing you space. At the end of the day, it’s your mirror or artwork being hung so do what you think looks best. If you want your art to bigger than your side console than be our guest. It is your home after all.
I know we got lost in the measurements, but a round mirror is a fun piece to add to you home. Check out these round mirrors to get inspired by the look and play with the idea of one hanging in your home.
