:: 3 Tips To Fire Up The Fire Pit ::

Tuesday Tips

Coastal backyard space with a fire pit and goregous viewWith summer in full swing it’s time to consider setting up a fire pit if you don’t have one in your backyard. It’s a great place for the family to gather and spend the summer nights together. If you don’t have one, we’ve got three tips to help you get started. So keep reading and let’s make that fire pit happen this summer!

1. Make It Official.

First things first, find out what the rules and regulations are for a fire pit in your area. You might be in an area that has a high fire alert during the summer season which means strict laws or regulations, other areas are more relaxed. Safety first when it comes to fire and there’s no reason to risk it.

2. Built In or Portable.

After you find out what the rules are for your new fire pit it’s time to decide how you want to go about it. Do you want to build a permanent installation or do you want something you can move around and store during the off seasons? With both styles there are pros and cons. Some things to consider are price, style and size.

3. Pick Your Location.

Last, but definitely not least, you need to pick your location. This needs to be your favorite spot in your backyard. Maybe a spot with a view? Maybe a spot with lots of space? Pick your spot, set up your fire pit and then break out the marshmallows while you enjoy the summer nights around the fire.

:: 3 Quick Tips For Backyard Cooking ::

Standard

Nautical backyard with fresh air kitchen spaceIt’s time to clean up the grill and get it ready for BBQ season! It’s the perfect weather to be outside grilling and spending time in the backyard. Make sure you’re backyard is ready for you and the summer season ahead. If it’s not we’ve got 3 quick tips to help you get your backyard space ready. 1. Get Grillin’ First things first, make sure the grill is ready to go. Over the winter the grill wasn’t getting too much use, or any at all, so it’s going to need a quick clean. Dust off the cobwebs, clean off the dirt and fill up the propane tank. Now when that perfect warm evening comes along you can hit the grill and enjoy a nice dinner in the backyard. 2. Cover Up It gets a little hot out when the sun is coming down on you so make sure you’ve got some shade to retreat to. We’re talking about a big umbrella, an awning or a deck covering. However you get your shade, you’re going to be thankful you’re standing in it enjoying a cold, crisp lemonade. 3. Table Space One thing you can never have enough of in the backyard is table space. It’s especially useful when it comes to cooking. Get yourself a table that can handle the load and provide enough space not only for cooking and food, but for guests as well. :: Cover Up That Table! ::

Bright striped table cover in a tropical style backyardThis hot weather is great for two things: getting started on your base tan and outdoor dining. Since you don’t see any bronzed bodies in this post, it’s safe to say that we’re focusing on the latter of the two. The hot heat carries throughout the day and doesn’t really start to cool down until night time which creates the perfect temperatures for a family dinner in the backyard. Cue the tablecloths and table runners! They are the perfect addition to any backyard dining or mid day picnic. They bring fun colors or patterns as well as a nice cover up for that weathered table that’s been fighting the elements. Check out some these tablecloths and table runners below to see what you can do in your backyard this outdoor season!
