Ready to get the most out of your walls? Good! Because it’s time to them with art and photos!
We can’t just hang any old art though, no-no. No one wants to be that person that just puts something in their home because they saw it once in a magazine. We must take steps to be better than that. Take some time to sit down and have an honest, open conversation with yourself about art. Really put some thought into it because it’s something you are going to be looking at it everyday and every guest that enters your home with see.
This is why we must choose something fun! We must choose something meaningful! Maybe add some colorful? Maybe something silly? At least make it something cherished and loved!
A good part of the fun is the hunt. Heading out on the Wild West that is the internet and searching for your new art. The search for art is a great way to get to know yourself. People are naturally collectors. Sometimes it’s intentional and other times, well, life gets in the way and we forget to throw things away. When we decide on something to collector it seems like that’s all we want. We’re officially on the hunt! After a healthy amount of rummaging through flea markets, antique stores and garage sale, you finally amass a collection worthy of showing. How are you going to display the collection you worked so hard to find?
We have a suggestion, head to the walls! Walls are a great way to display your collections! They give us plenty of space to show off our finds. Plus they provide extra room for you to add to your collection because let’s be honest, it never stops growing.
Get fancy with the collection and frame it! Frames are a great way to display the collection on the wall and let people know you’re proud of your hard work. Unfortunately, not all of our collections are framable, and that’s fine. Another way is to invest in wall shelves and prop your collection up for all to see. It lets you open up the space for other decor and design elements.
Using the walls helps you make the most of the space in your home and prevents the over cluttering of side consoles or tables. So head to the walls and start displaying your collection today!

A gallery wall is a great way to display art and take full advantage of the walls in your home. There’s no need for your walls to stay bare and look plain. Creating a gallery wall is an easy way to solve that problem. If you follow these 3 steps to create your gallery wall, you’ll have your walls covered and looking good in no time!
1. Pick Out Your Art
First, and foremost, you need to pick out the art you wish to display. Pick out fun and creative pieces that make up a unique gallery wall. You can decide if your gallery wall is made up completely of art prints or if you want to incorporate other pieces of art or objects. Display pieces that reflect your style and create a gallery wall that is special to you.
2. Lay It Out
Before you start mounting your art, lay it out on the ground. Get an idea of what works and looks good before you start putting holes in your wall. Seriously, lay it out on the ground. The last thing you want to do is decide halfway through installing the art that you’ve changed your mind or you find out that certain pieces don’t fit well together. Don’t find yourself stuck covering up holes! The best part about a gallery wall layout is there’s no ‘right way’ to do it. The way it looks is entirely up to you! Get creative with the wall space and your art!
3. Put It Up
The last step after you finalize your layout on the ground (yes, we are going to stress that again) is to mount each piece of your gallery wall. This is the step that is going to take the longest and some patience. Get yourself a stud finder, a leveler, some nails and a hammer. You may also want to look into drywall screws and drywall anchors too. Gallery walls don’t always line up perfectly with studs and you should always mount things properly. Once you have the right tools and hardware, pick a piece and start mounting your gallery wall! Then step back and enjoy your new gallery wall.
